Jay and Fran Grooters welcome you back to our recently renovated Alpine Trail Ridge Inn.
Our Inn is located on the west end of town, on US 36, near Rocky Mountain NP and the YMCA. A summer property, we're open May 1 through October 5, but we are available to take reservations throughout the whole year.
Our goal is to help make your vacation stay very memorable, from providing excellent lodging value to personalized care and information, especially about hiking trails. We invite you to relax by our aspen-shaded heated outdoor pool (open approx. May 15 - Sept. 15, weather permitting), and to also experience the excellent food at the Sundeck Restaurant.
Alpine Trail Ridge Inn is an excellent place to recover from your busy world. Our mountain hospitality is relaxed and casual. Our rooms are comfortable and exceptionally clean, our location is ideal (we're only a few minutes from the National Park and from downtown Estes Park), our prices are moderate, and 100% of our rooms are non-smoking and pet-free. Western Units
These are located in our one-story building at the center of our property. The rooms have either one queen bed or two double beds, a tub/shower combination, or shower only. These are cozy rooms, and have a western feeling with knotty pine decor.
They are quite comfortable and are our most reasonably priced, and all have hair dryers, refrigerators, microwaves,air conditioning, irons, and ironing boards. Parking is available right in front of all but two of these units (117 and 118), and there are now dedicated parking spaces behind the Center Building for these two units.
Western Family Unit A: This is a two bedroom unit: one room with one queen bed, a smaller sleeping room with two double beds. It has one bathroom (with shower only), and a half-bath (without tub or shower).
Western Family Unit B: This is also a two bedroom unit with one room with one queen bed and another room with two double beds. This unit is larger than the Western Family Unit A, because each room has a separate bathroom.
Kitchen Family Unit
Kitchen Family Unit: This is our most popular family unit. It has one bedroom with one double bed, another bedroom with two double beds, two full bathrooms with tub/shower, living room and kitchen with breakfast bar. There is a hideabed in the living room ( good for kids). It has a full kitchen with microwave and electric stove, and is furnished with all the basic dishes and utensils. It has wonderful mountain views, ample parking, and is near the pool. This is an excellent unit for larger families to rent, or as a gathering place for small groups such as reunions or wedding groups.

Standard Units
Standard Rooms: These are the ground floor rooms in our two story buildings, with one king bed, or two queen or two double beds. Parking is right at the door of these rooms. They each have a picture-window view of the mountains, and all have microwaves, hair dryers, refrigerators, irons, and ironing boards.

Balcony Rooms: Our most popular rooms have their own private balconies which offer outstanding views of the high peaks of the Front Range of the Rockies. With one king bed or two queen beds, they are on the upper story of these two story buildings. There are only 5 steps to these units. Parking is right by the steps on three units, and there are dedicated parking spaces for the other 5 units behind the Center Building.
These are our nicest rooms, and all have microwaves, air conditioning, hair dryers, refrigerators, irons, and ironing boards.
Reservations
DEPOSIT POLICY: To reserve the unit of your choice, please send advance payment of your first night's room plus sales tax. We will then guarantee your room for late arrival so that you may enjoy your trip into our valley. We accept deposits by check or credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Diners and Carte Blanche). Cash, travelers checks, and credit cards accepted for your balance due, upon arrival. Personal checks may be used for advance deposits only.
REFUND POLICY: A $10.00 cancellation fee will be charged on all cancelled reservations. In order to receive a refund of the balance of your deposit, we require 14 days cancellation notice from date of arrival for holidays, special events and family units or multiple rooms booked. All other dates and rooms require 2 days cancellation notice from date of arrival.
Alpine Trail Ridge is a smoke free environment indoors, and the property is pet free.
Check-in is anytime after 3:30 pm. Arrangements must be made for late arrivals after 10:00 p.m. Check-out is 10:300 a.m.
Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, Diners and Carte Blanche accepted.
All rates include complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cider in the office lobby from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Directions
Coming from the East (Denver): Go north on I-25 to exit 243. Left on Highway 66 to Lyons. At the far side of Lyons, take a right on US 36 to Estes Park. There are 6 stoplights to get to us. Go through the first light, and take a left at the second light onto Elkhorn Avenue. Go through the third and fourth lights, and take a left at the fifth light onto Moraine Avenue. After making that turn, get in the right hand lane because the road will take a sharp right in about 3 blocks, and you need to be in that lane. Go about 1 1/2 miles from that 5th light and you'll come to a sixth light. Go through that light and we're about half a block on the right hand side.
Coming from the North: Take I-25 south to US 34, turn right to Loveland. Follow US 34 through Loveland to Estes Park. There will be 5 stoplights to get to us. Go through the first, second and third lights, and take a left at the fourth light onto Moraine Avenue. After making that turn, get in the right hand lane because the road will take a sharp right in about 3 blocks, and you need to be in that lane. Go about 1 1/2 miles from that 5th light and you'll come to a fifth light. Go through that light and we're about half a block on the right hand side.
Coming from the West over Trail Ridge Road: As you're coming in over Trail Ridge Road on US 34, when you get to Deer Ridge Junction, keep going straight, which will be US 36. Follow it on out of the Park, and about a mile past the Park Headquarters, watch for us on the left hand side of the divided highway. You'll see how it loops over to our property.
Coming from the South: As you come near Estes Park on CO Highway 7, you'll come down a long hill, with an "S" loop at the bottom. Watch for the radio tower on the left, which is at the turnoff for Mary's Lake Road. Turn left on Mary's Lake Road, and follow it until it comes out at the stoplight on US 36. Take a left, and we're about half a block on the right hand side of US 36.
