A new season is beginning at Estes Park and the Alpine Trail Ridge Inn! We opened for business again this month and will be through October 12. During this time, Rocky Mountain National Park and the town itself will have everything you need for a great vacation, including fun outdoor activities and special festivals and events.
One of the first coming up is the free Performance Park Summer Concert Series, taking place later this month on May 24. Additional shows will be held in June and July. We also recommend stopping by for the Scandinavian Midsummer Festival, Heritage Festival, and a July 4th celebration you’ll never forget.
While the Rocky Mountain National Park is open 365 days a year, May 23 will also bring the opening of Trail Ridge Road—the highest continuous paved road in the United States. Fun, and sometimes adventurous activities, such as rafting, fishing and hikes over tundra landscape and summits like Flattop Mtn. or Longs Peak make a summer visit to the park especially worthwhile.
While travelling to our delightful mountain community this year, we encourage you to use routes to avoid US 36 between Lyons and Estes Park. This is due to road construction resulting in delays and temporary closures. US 34, Hwy 7 and the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway (Hwy 119 > Hwy 72 > Hwy 7 > Estes Park) are all beautiful drives.
Last but not least, you may have noticed that our website looks different! It’s true—now, exploring our Estes Park motel is even easier than before. Keep an eye on this blog, too, for everything new at Alpine Trail Ridge Inn and Estes Park.
