Age: Must be at least 18 years old
Work Hours: Daytime hours ranging from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. normal day, 1/2 hr lunch on your own time). Ability to get second job as long as available at Alpine from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. on days scheduled to work
Hours per week: An average of 30 to 36 hours per week (do not count on any overtime), depending on willingness to do extra projects. 5 or 6 day work week, including weekends & holidays. Consistent day(s) off & no night shifts. Non-smoking work environment
Housing: Some housing available for non-smokers without pets.
Work qualities necessary: Steady, dependable, organized, and pay attention to details. Bi-lingual skills a great asset for this position (Spanish/English). Good communications skills.
Type of work: Morning hours spent mostly stripping rooms and carts, re-stocking housekeepers and washing, drying and folding towels and other items being laundered, updating the front office as to work accomplished by housekeepers. Afternoon hours spent mostly spotting towels, finishing washing, drying and folding, and doing inventory. Responsible for laundry facility (cleanliness, organization, care of linens, care of equipment), and again updating office as to work accomplished by housekeepers.
Physical work:Physical work; must be able to lift up to 50lbs, push laundry cart up paved "hills", stoop, kneel, twist, reach and bend (golf cart may be available for part of day). Good eyesight is necessary to be able to see stains. Must be willing to help in other areas, such as housekeeping, outdoor grounds work, (i.e. weeding, planting, sweeping paved areas) and other light maintenance as the need arises to best take care of the guests at Alpine Trail Ridge Inn.
Standards:Can see immediate results of work and realize the importance to the guest. Customer satisfaction is very important!! Clean, well-maintained towels and a clean laundry are a must!!
Benefits: When work is completed, you are finished for the day & have time to swim, hike, fish, bicycle ride, tour the national park, etc. Staff "get-togethers" throughout summer, pool privileges for staff
Wage: $8.50/hr training, $0.50/hr raise when work is satisfactory
Bonus: $.25/hr if stay through agreed date (staying through the agreed date is very important - the bonus will not be given if you leave prior to the agreed date, so you need to be very sure of your leaving date.)
Beginning: Between May 1st & May 23rd
Ending: Between the end of September and mid October, possibly later
