Fishing Trip

Are you a fisherman or have you just wanted to give it a try? Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park is the place to come. Spend a few nights at Alpine Trail Ridge Inn and a few days exploring the rivers and lakes for fish with your name them.

The name on your fish may be temporary as many areas including most areas in the National Park are catch and release. Many of the fish are protected so catch 'em, kiss 'em and release 'em. If you are an experienced fisherman there are several places in town to get the scoop on where the fish are biting, buy the stuff that makes the fish want to bite your line as well as all the other accessories needed to enjoy the quiet solitude of fishing in our beautiful mountains. Scot's Sporting Goods is just down the street from the motel.

If you have never fished before, want lessons in fly fishing or want a guided fishing tour, there are options for that as well. Previous guests at Alpine Trail Ridge Inn took lessons from Kirk's Fly Shop (877-669-1859), had so much fun they brought the grandkids back.

For a little more adventure, there are places in town who will take you on overnight fishing trips. If this is for you, get a good night's rest at Alpine Trail Ridge Inn, leave your car with us while you enjoy your time in the woods then stay with us for a hot shower and comfortable bed before you make your way home.

If the family vacation isn't geared to focus on fishing but the kids want to dangle a line in the water, Trout Haven guarantees a successful catch. They have all the necessary equipment, you pay by the inch of what you catch and they will pack your fish for travel.
